ബീഫ് കറിവേകുന്പോൾ ടേസ്റ്റ് ഇല്ലക്കിൽ ഇതുപോലെ ഒന്ന് വെച്ച് നോക്കു||variety Beef Roast

Description :

Ingredients:
Beef – ½ kg (Cut into small pieces)
Ginger – 1 big piece (Finely chopped)
Garlic – 10 fat cloves (Finely chopped)
Curry leaves
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Red chilly powder – 2 tbsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Fenugreek – ¼ tsp
Asafoeitida / Hing – ½ tsp
Vinegar – 2 tbsp
Salt
Gingelly oil / Coconut oil

Steps:
Dry roast fenugreek and powder finely.

(If the beef takes a long time to cook, pressure cook it along with pepper powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder and salt. No need to add water. Loosely cover and cook till the beef releases moisture. Stir often. Then pressure cook for 1 whistle.)

Heat oil in a pan.
Add beef, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, pepper powder, turmeric powder, red chilly powder and salt.
Cover and cook on medium flame till the beef is half cooked.
Let the beef release moisture. Wait for the mixture to become dry. It took me around ½ an hour.
Add fenugreek powder, asafoetida and vinegar.
Roast well. If you prefer dry version, you can stop here.
I like it with little gravy.
For gravy, add ¾ glass boiling water.
Cook on high flame and bring it to a boil.
Once the gravy thickens, add some curry leaves and switch off.
Beef varattiyath is ready.
