Beef Masala (1kg Recipe) – Rich & Spicy
Perfect for 4-6 people | Pressure cooker or pot method

Ingredients
– 1 kg beef (cubed, with some fat for flavor)
– 3 tbsp oil/ghee
– 3 large onions (finely chopped)
– 3 tomatoes (puréed or finely chopped)
– 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
– 3 green chilies (slit, adjust to taste)

####spices
– 1.5 tsp turmeric
– 2 tbsp red chili powder(reduce for less heat)
– 2 tbsp coriander powder
– 1.5 tsp garam masala
– 1 tsp cumin seeds
– 8-10 curry leaves
– Salt

1️⃣ Brown the Beef (Optional but Recommended)
– Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pressure cooker/pot.
– Sear beef cubes in batches until lightly browned (adds depth). Remove and set aside.

2️⃣ Build the Masala
1. In the same pot, heat 2 tbsp oil/ghee.
2. Add cumin seeds + curry leaves, let them crackle.
3. Add onions + green chilies, sauté until deep golden (~8 mins).
4. Add ginger-garlic paste, fry for 1 minute (no raw smell).

3️⃣ Spice It Up
1. Add turmeric + red chili powder + coriander powder + salt.
2. Fry for 30 seconds, then add tomatoes.
3. Cook until oil separates (~7-8 mins), stirring occasionally.

4️⃣ Pressure Cook (Tender Beef!)
1. Return beef to the pot, mix well with masala.
2. Add 2 cups water, stir, and pressure cook:
3. Let pressure release naturally.

5️⃣ Finish & Serve
1. Open lid, simmer to thicken if needed.
2. Sprinkle garam masala + fresh coriander.
3. Optional: Add 1 tbsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek) for aroma.
